Frequently Asked Question
In order to successfully claim an air conditioning compressor, it is required that a copy of the repair receipt with a summary of the work performed is provided with the claimed compressor and that the replacement of the air conditioning compressor was performed in the following manner:
the desiccant compressor was replaced
all used parts were replaced (expansion nozzle, expansion valve, etc.)
flushing of the system/cleaning of all the parts that were not replaced was carried out in order not to damage the new compressor
the appropriate amount of prescribed oil has been added
Sometimes the compressor is delivered without oil. In this case, it is necessary to top up the defective quantity before installation. Repairs to the air conditioning system must only be carried out by a person trained to do so and must follow the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.
If you cannot return the compressor plugged (to assess residual oil), you must check the amount and type of oil and document this information.
In the event of a claim, all processes associated with the compressor replacement (parts, labor) must be documented on the final document, which must be documented. Failure to carry out the work will be detected by the manufacturer by analysis and the claim rejected.
